The arts (music, dance, theater, and visual art) can contribute so much in the elementary classroom--fun, excitement, meaning, creativity, imagination, spontaneity, memory, critical thinking, and so on. There are many wonderful resources on the web for elementary teachers. My aim with this blog is to provide arts integration ideas and links within the context of the Utah Core Curriculum (almost identical to the Common Core for language arts and math). In other words, this will serve as a database searchable through the standards and objectives. Simply select the target standard and follow the links for corresponding arts integration ideas.
